Green screen is a powerful visual effect. It can put actors into situations far too distant, expensive or impossible for normal video budgets. When it’s done right, it can be magical. But when the process is treated casually, the result can look like a bad TV weathercast.
Getting green screen to look convincing and not comical requires thoughtful pre-visualization. And the right approach to lens selection, camera position, lighting and staging. Not to mention having the right compositing tools and the skills to use them.
